Take Action: Shut Down the San Juan Coal Mine, Just Transition!

The San Juan coal mine in northwestern New Mexico is slated to shut down by 2022, yet the Trump administration is attempting to approve a plan to keep it open until 2033.

Approving more mining that won’t even happen is not just irresponsible, it’s downright despicable.

Rather than approve more mining that won’t happen, we’re calling on the Interior Department to help communities and workers transition from coal. They have the authority, they have the expertise, they have the resources.

Speak out today and tell the Interior Department to start helping communities and workers, not blindly rubberstamp more coal mining that won’t happen!
