A Force for Nature

Safeguarding the Wild in the American West

Secure Wild Places for Wildlife on the Tahoe National Forest

The winter wonderlands of the Tahoe National Forest provide important habitat for imperiled wolverine and Pacific marten, as well as winter recreation opportunities. But unbridled snowmobile use threatens to destroy these quiet winter havens. The U.S. Forest Service is deciding how to manage snowmobile use in the Tahoe. Sign our letter and urge the Forest Service to protect the Tahoe’s vulnerable winter wildlife and quiet landscapes from the roar of engines.

Access the Forest Service’s project website for more detailed information about proposed management changes.
