Right now, Trump’s Department of the Interior wants to let the coal industry strip mine more than 30 million tons of publicly owned coal in Wyoming. If approved, the mining stands to unleash more than 50 million metric tons of carbon pollution, equal to the amount released annually by 10.5 million cars.
