Protect national forests in New Mexico

Forest plans direct the U.S. Forest Service how to manage public lands for at least ten years, but often longer. Having strong protections in forest plans is critical to protecting biodiversity in the coming decades.

Unfortunately, the proposed final forest plans for the Carson, Cibola, and Santa Fe national forests in New Mexico do not do enough to protect forests from extractive industries. Speak up and urge the Forest Service to do more.
