A Force for Nature

Stop a return to "Logging Without Laws"

In 1995, Congress passed the infamous Salvage Rider, allowing the U.S. Forest Service to log and build roads with impunity across the American West. The rider did away with long-standing environmental protections, slashed citizen oversight, and severely limited the ability of the federal courts to stop damaging timber sales. The rider rightfully earned the moniker “Logging Without Laws” and caused widespread damage to public lands, watersheds, and wildlife habitat.

Unfortunately, history is about to repeat itself. Playing on people’s fear of wildfires, Senator Steve Daines (R-MT) is pushing a new version of “Logging Without Laws.”

Please stand for forests today and urge your members of Congress to oppose a return to “Logging Without Laws.”
